The Resurrection of Christ is the victory that destroys death. The glorious body of the New Man reappears in this world without being bound by its laws. He can pass through the closed door and disappear before the eyes of the disciples. The Risen One undoes all divisions, he is in total communion: "He who made two peoples one, breaking down the wall that separated them, the enmity." (Eph.2,14) The two apostles in the foreground are St. Andrew and St. Peter, who respectively represent the Church of the East and the West.
